The MorningStar at Mountain Shadows’ website is loaded with resources and information for families in the Colorado Springs area looking for senior living options.  While we are more than happy to personally answer any questions you may have, we have found it is helpful to provide information on commonly asked questions under our “FAQ” tool bar. 

Here you will get a good start on questions such as “What is an assisted living community?” We explain our assisted living community is for seniors 62 years and older who require assistance with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).  Within a residential setting, we offer families peace of mind knowing trained and compassionate care managers are there to help navigate their loved ones’ changing health conditions.  Like many assisted living communities, we offer a secure neighborhood for the memory-impaired (those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia).

Couples will learn that of course, they can move in together, and that we also offer Companion Living, which is where two people of the same sex can share a suite.  In addition we offer respite stays or trial (short-term) stays based on the availability of a fully-furnished suite.
