On a more practical level, we offer packing tips including what items are most important to bring such as furnishings and personal belongings that are most significant emotionally, nostalgically as well as functionally. We want the resident’s new “home” to bring them comfort and joy, which is why we suggest, if possible, furnishings should be arranged like their prior residence. Keep in mind; it is especially helpful to those with low vision or cognitive impairment.
